When you’re in the market for a new helmet, it can be a challenge to know which is safest for you. One good way to know that the helmet you’re buying is safe is to check if it is DOT certified.
DOT motorcycle helmet certification is indicated through a sticker, located on the back of the helmet. If the helmet that you’re interested in doesn’t have this sticker, don’t buy it. You have no idea if it will protect you in a crash.

Many of the “facts” in this story are based on Legend and Myth as much of the history of the Motorcycle and it’s Culture was lost in the great rebellion of 2057.
Taken from a history book in the year 2095…

For awhile, Motorcycle were simply used as transportation. In 1907, when Henry Fords, Ford Motor Company, released the Model-T at a price everyone could afford, the Motorcycle soon went from a necessity to a luxury item.

Want to supplement that gas-guzzling SUV and purchase an economical scooter? You’re going to return home with a scooter that will do little more than collect dust in your carport unless you follow a few quick guidelines.
Power
Motor scooters might come in a wide range of body shapes and sizes, from small-engined “knock abouts” to large motorcycle replacements. Consider your needs and where you’ll be using the scooter. If it’s just for neighborhood riding, there are any number of small, cheap scooters that would fit the bill. Perhaps a 125 or 150 would be the largest to consider.

If you’ve just bought an expensive motorcycle, you might not have thought to save money for the gear you’ll need, which can also be expensive. This is why you need to find something safe, but cheap.
There are ways to find a cheap motorcycle helmet that will still give you excellent protection and look great. Always make sure when looking for a bargain not to bargain with your safety, however.
If you’re looking for a cheap motorcycle helmet, try a sale. This can be a good way to get a quality helmet for a lower price. The beginning of riding season, when older helmets are being cleared out, is a good time to look.

If you’re buying a new motorcycle helmet for the first time, or for the first time in years, you may be surprised at how many choices you have available. How will you know what the best helmet is for you?
If you’re ready to buy a new motorcycle helmet, there are some decisions you need to make first about style and design. Are you definitely safety conscious, or are you more interested in freedom while you ride.
For those riders for whom safety is their first priority, you should look into full face helmets as you buy a new motorcycle helmet. In a crash, these will protect your entire head and face.
